Deciding to hire a Facebook Ads Expert goes way beyond just having a budget for it.
My experience, as a Facebook ads expert, has taught me that there are key factors to look for when interviewing potential clients that help me determine if they are truly ready to hire me.
I’m giving you the inside scoop so you can make sure your business and mindset are ready to hire for this position.
Backend Systems
Is your business backend in order?
Scaling your business requires that systems are efficient and ready.
Lemme ask you, if you get an influx of clients today, are you set up to handle the volume?
It’s always a good idea to walk yourself through the process of onboarding and find out.
Process for Nurturing New Leads
Using Facebook ads to generate new leads is only effective if you have a process to nurture those new leads.
HubSpot states, “only a relatively small percentage of your inbound leads will be ready to make an immediate purchase, leaving upwards of 90% of your inbound leads on the table.” (source)
If you don’t have a process, you’ll lose them and your investment with Facebook ads will have a low ROI. Yikes!
Automated Email System
An automated email system is one way to nurture those new leads.
It allows you to engage with your audience by offering relevant information, supporting them on their customer journey and sharing more about yourself.
Automated emails are powerful tools to help you convert your leads to buyers.
Organic Marketing
All the marketing you do, on and offline, will give you proof of concept that people want what you offer.
Every like, comment, share, click and purchase tells you that you are on to something. Without this proof, it’s difficult to know if your offer is one that people will actually want.
Use your organic marketing to determine if you have a viable offer before investing ad money on it.
Comfortable Budget
At the top of this article, I mentioned that deciding to hire a Facebook ads expert goes way beyond just having a budget for it but, the budget IS an important factor.
You want to have a comfortable budget, meaning, you are not finding pennies in your couch cushions to pay for the service. (Kidding. Sort of.)
That’s a bit of an exaggeration but you get my point.
If you have a healthy budget of $2,000+/month (this varies greatly by niche) that can be dedicated to ad spend, you are in a great place to start investing.
Investment Mindset
Along the same lines, you need a healthy investment mindset.
If you are worried, want to control the process or have unrealistic expectations, you may not be ready to hire a Facebook ads expert. #fact
Ads are a process. They require time, testing, adjustments and retesting. It’s a long game but if left in the hands of someone trained to work the process, it can be a winning game!
Ask yourself what it is costing you not to work with an expert. If you are currently throwing money at DIY ads with little-to-no results or not running ads at all because, let’s face it, you just don’t have time, hiring an expert would be wise.
Facebook Business Page
You have a business page set up on Facebook and you post to it.
Your Facebook page adds credibility to your Facebook ads and gives people a place to go to learn more about your business. Posting on it regularly will benefit you while running ads.
Your Desire
Finally, you know you are ready to hire a Facebook ads expert when you have the desire to scale your business (without having to “do” more yourself) but have no desire to figure out how to work inside the Ads Manager yourself.
This is the position most of my clients are in and they are super happy to have me handle the A to Z of their Facebook ads, like graphics, copywriting, ad set up, optimizing and monitoring.
It’s during this time that my clients start to experience the momentum they’ve been working so hard for.
They’ve established their foundation and they are ready to scale. #whoohoo
