There is an important distinction between the two.
While a job provides the financial means for you to pay your bills and hopefully have some fun money to dine out, travel and enjoy hobbies you love, a lifestyle is sooooo much more.
A business that provides you with a lifestyle is about FREEDOM.
Location freedom.
Financial freedom.
Soul freedom.
It’s less about finances and more about living life in a way that feels good to you.
My business provides a lifestyle for me. Here’s how:
Location Freedom
My partner, Nick, and I were both working remotely due to Covid restrictions. We took a leap of faith and got out of dodge before the cold winters of Michigan, my home state, slammed us with another bitter cold season.
Living in the midwest my whole life was so not my thing… I’m not a fan of the snow or cold and couldn’t wait to get the eff out!
Moving to the warm climate of Arizona was a dream move!
Now, I live in paradise and can enjoy the outdoors and activities I love any time I desire! We are celebrating 6 months here this month. I’m not looking back! I’m never returning to the midwest, as long as I have any say about it!
Had I not had my business to provide me a lifestyle with flexibility and location freedom, I would be sharing stories of a miserable cold spring instead of soaking in the sun of Scottsdale.
Does your business allow you the freedom to relocate if you choose to? Build in an online component to your strategy and start working with clients from around the globe so you can become location independent!
Financial Freedom
I consider the opportunity to create a no-cap income a huge bonus to having my own business. If I need more income to support my desire to travel, I have the flexibility to do so.
Diversifying my offers supports my ability to take on additional clients should I want to.
Businesses that are dependent on a single done-for-you offer are limited in how many clients they can add to their calendar. You only have so many hours in your day and trading hours for dollars quickly turns your business into a job.
If you want financial freedom, structure your business with multiple offers, including some that are “passive.” These types of offers can grow exponentially with the support of Facebook ads. Interested in learning more? Book a call with me today! https://calendly.com/ngadvertising/call
Soul Freedom
I love to cook, set my own work hours, show up on lives to support others and be available for an impromptu adventure out with Nick.
Some businesses are structured with set “office hours.” Not mine. My soul loves the freedom to be spontaneous and prioritize my days as I see fit.
We all work differently. Some people prefer more structure and if that brings you joy and helps you get your work done more efficiently, design your business that way.
Do you.
You will be more at peace when your business feels good to you!
I encourage you to build a lifestyle business. It is so much more satisfying and sustainable.
